The Apex Cricket Festival 2027 brings together the world’s leading U15 girls’ and boys’ T20 teams for four days of high-energy cricket in Cape Town. Hosted at the prestigious Somerset College, the festival blends top-tier competition with holistic development—combining high-performance coaching, life-skills workshops, and match play where young athletes test their talent on an international stage.

Somerset College, Cape Town – 16th to 20th February 2027

16th Feb

Arrival in Cape Town

  • Teams arrive at Somerset College at 17:00 for registration, followed by the Opening Meet-and-Greet and the APEX Welcome Braai.

17th Feb 

Festival Day 1 – T20 Matches & Life Skills

  • A full day of cricket begins with T20 matches at 09:00, 12:30, and 14:30.

  • Girls participate in 2 T20 matches and Life Skills sessions, while Boys take part in 1 T20 match and Life Skills sessions.

  • Dinner from 19:00–20:00.

18th Feb

Festival Day 2 – T20 Matches & Cricket Skills

  • Matches take place across Somerset College and the Catch Trust Oval in Khayelitsha at 09:00, 12:30, and 14:40.

  • Girls participate in 1 T20 match plus Cricket Skills training, and Boys will take part in 2 T20 matches plus Cricket Skills training.

  • Dinner from 19:00–20:00

19th Feb

Festival Day 3 – Matches & Skills Development

  • Two match slots at 09:00 and 13:00.

  • Girls compete in 1 T20 match with additional Cricket Skills sessions, while Boys have 1 T20 match plus Cricket Skills training. 

20th Feb

Finals Day & Closing Ceremony

  • The final Girls’ and Boys’ T20 matches take place at 09:00 and 13:00, with both finals included in this day’s schedule.

  • The festival concludes with the Closing Ceremony and Awards at 17:00.

Begin your South African adventure with a pre-tour extension designed to elevate both performance and experience. This five-day programme blends warm-up fixtures against local school teams, guided cultural tours through Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Soweto, and unforgettable wildlife encounters in Pilanesberg National Park.

With training sessions built into the journey, players gain valuable match readiness in local conditions - ensuring they arrive at the Apex Cricket Festival confident, acclimatised, and fully prepared to perform at their best.

  • Arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport & Transfer to your hotel in Pretoria.

  • Afternoon training session.

Sightseeing & Match Day 01

  • Morning sightseeing in Pretoria, including the iconic Union Buildings.

  • First match against a local school. 

  • Evening at leisure.

13th Feb

Match Day 02 & Guided Tour of Soweto

  • Match 02 against a local school.

  • Guided tour of Soweto.

  • Transfer to Sandton and evening at leisure.

14th Feb

Apartheid Museum and Theme Park

  • Tour of the Apartheid Museum in the morning.

  • An afternoon of fun at the Gold Reef City Theme Park.

  • Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

15th Feb

Safari Lodge & Game Drive

  • Transfer to Bakubung Bush Lodge in Pilanesberg National Park.

  • Evening Game Drive at the National Park observing African wildlife.

16th Feb

Game Drive & Transfer to Cape Town

  • Morning Game Drive at Pilanesberg National Park.

  • Transfer back to O.R. Tambo International Airport to catch your flight onward to Cape Town for the Apex Festival.
